Career - Winery Worker

Winery Workers will prepare soil, plant vines and cultivate and fertilise crops and will construct wire trellises to support vines and fruit. They will control weeds, diseases and pests and assist in making wine by operating equipment to crush and ferment the grapes. They will assist in bottle fermentation by twining (turning the bottles) and re-topping during the process (for sparkling wines) and will operate equipment to clarify and filter wine. They will make additions to wine, and blend and transfer wine during maturation and will prepare wine for bottling. They will assist with barrel work and rackingand also with bottling, corking and general cleaning and forwarding export orders. They will operate cellar door, including sales and administration.
