Secretaries will screen telephone callers and will make and record appointments. They will operate office equipment such as photocopiers, fax machines, switchboards and computers and will file correspondence and other records. They will receive and process incoming and outgoing mail and will write letters and reports on behalf of the organisation. They will store and retrieve data on computers and talk to clients. They will prepare agendas or programmes for meetings and will attend and take minutes of meetings, both in the office and at other locations. They will organise business itineraries, travel arrangements, conferences, meetings and social functions and will hire and supervise staff. Will maintain budget and account records and purchase office supplies.
