Career - Physical Science Technical Officer

Physical Science Technical Officers will prepare materials, products and equipment for experiments and surveys and will monitor supplies of materials and ensure they are adequate. They will undertake complex experiments, often following strict testing and analysing procedures and perform routine mathematical calculations. They will compile data, and prepare and use charts and diagrams and will use computers and computer-interfaced equipment. They will carry out routine quality assurance checks on production line materials and samples and assist in preparing technical reports and documents for publication and will take responsibility for ensuring that prescribed procedures are followed in experiments or production processes.
