Mechanical Engineering Technologists will design engineering factories and equipment and will supervise the maintenance of factories and equipment. They will apply testing and monitoring equipment to determine the condition of operating equipment and use computers as tools for routine design and analysis. They will analyse and interpret engineering information and data and will also prepare reports for engineering management. They will work with professional engineers to ensure the engineering plant is operating efficiently and also advise employers and clients on the application of new technologies.
