Career - Landscape Gardener

Landscape Gardners will prepare plans, drawings, specifications and quotations and schedule landscape construction. They will prepare areas for landscape construction by analysing sites and clearing debris and also select, estimate and order materials and plants to create landscapes. They will set out and install 'hardscape' (walls, paths and timber features) and 'softscape' (plants) structures and will construct or reface steps, garden walls, fences, trellises, pergolas, ponds, fountains and irrigation systems. They will construct and install facilities and features, such as ferneries, barbecues, play structures and garden furniture and also construct paths, steps and paved areas with paving materials, gravel and timber. They will perform 'formative' (shaping) pruning and will maintain and repair gardening equipment.
