Career - Bricklayer

Bicklayers will work from plans and specifications and will build in door and window frames. They will spread layers of mortar to serve as a base and binder for bricks, and remove excess mortar. They will check vertical and horizontal alignment of bricks and blocks and will use various tools and brick-cutting machines to cut and shape bricks. They will construct arches and ornamental brickwork and will also repair and maintain clay bricks, cement blocks/bricks and related structures. They will be capable to erect scaffolding (subject to licence requirements in some states and territories).
