They will specify equipment for particular purposes and will test the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of equipment. They will plan data processing services and the development of associated computing programs and will analyse new medical procedures to forecast likely outcomes. They will participate in medical or scientific procedures where biomedical skills are needed and will design and deliver technology to assist people with disability. They will analyse and design prosthetic and orthotic devices and will measure and monitor physiological systems. They will diagnose and interpret bioelectric data using signal processing techniques and will provide computer analysis of patient-related data.
