Career - Automotive Parts Interpreter

Automotive Parts Interpreters will talk to customers to find out their exact needs and recommend appropriate parts and will identify the make, model and variations of motor vehicles and automotive equipment. They will check catalogues or computer databases to identify and locate the source of required parts. They will order parts from warehouse and external suppliers and calculate tax, discounts and prices. They will prepare invoices and other finance arrangements for the sale of stock and will process cash and credit transactions. They will collect, pack and dispatch or deliver ordered parts and participate in stocktaking (regular checking and valuing of goods) and update computer data. They will assist customers in repairing or replacing parts and set up merchandise displays.
