Unlock the civil and criminal justice institutions and systems. Our law degree gives you a comprehensive overview of the key legal principles you’ll need to work in the legal profession. Using media commentary and theory, you’ll be able to form opinions on legal developments including new case law and legislation. Join the student Law Society and you’ll be able to take part in competitions and attend networking events both on and off campus to meet with future peers. Our Pro-Bono Law Clinic gives you a chance to put your knowledge into practice. Supervised by qualified members of lecturing staff and local legal practitioners, you’ll deliver legal advice to the community. If that’s not enough hands-on experience for you, there will also be opportunities to go on educational visits to important legal institutions. Past and present law students have visited courts including the Old Bailey, the Supreme Court and Parliament in London, the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg and the European Parliament and European Commission in Brussels.
You must have successfully completed an United Kingdom Year 12 (or equivalent senior secondary school qualification) Equivalent qualifications may also include a recognised post secondary diploma in the relevant discipline with the required grades. Meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee entry. Your application will still need to be assessed and accepted. If you dont meet the entry requirements, there may be other programs you are eligible for that can lead you to your preferred program.

Lakes, green spaces and even a beach can be found alongside award winning building developments which reflect almost 130 years of history and innovation. New buildings help to fulfil our vision of a visually inspiring, sustainable environment, and include the flagship £27 million Catalyst Building opened this year, a £17 million Creative Edge building, a new Arts Centre building, new Technology, Biosciences and Geosciences facilities and a £13.5 million Student Hub. The £30 million Sports Centre opened in September 2015 and allows students, staff and the local community to enjoy some of the best sports facilities in the country. Facilities include a 25m swimming pool, 100-station fitness suite, sauna, steam room, aerobics studio, and a multi-court sports hall with viewing gallery. Continued development of on-campus accommodation continues, and Palatine Court, with a further 144 en suite bedrooms, opened its doors in 2015, while another 168 rooms became available from September 2016, bringing the total number of students that can live on campus to 2,259.
