About the course
La Trobes Master of Telecommunication and Network Engineering gives you the knowledge and practical experience to be at the forefront of computer, internet, multimedia and telecommunication-related fields. First-year subjects introduce you to the fundamentals of broadband digital communication, engineering practice and communication networks. From there You will move into more advanced areas including the design of telecommunication, mobile and electronic systems. You will learn: Broadband digital communication - Explore the principles and techniques of modern digital communication systems for wired and wireless applications. Engineering practice - Understand current experimental practice in electronics and learn a range of software tools and programming languages. Communication networks - Learn about network architecture, serial communication standards and routing techniques in computer communication networks. Telecommunication design - Discover the key technologies for mobile wireless standards and use state-of-the-art software to plan, design and operate cellular networks. Network security - Scrutinise security attacks on system and network services and assess different existing security mechanisms. Advanced network engineering - Gain hands-on experience using CISCO systems and applying routing and network protocols.Intake Months
