About the course
Our BA/BE(Hons) helps to develop the skills you’ll need to adapt and thrive in a fast-changing, globalised economy. The five-year programme blends theoretical and practical work. It allows you to complement your technical acumen with the broad, transferable skills and critical thinking abilities essential for solving complex problems. You can combine one of our nine engineering specialisations with a wide range of subjects in the humanities, social sciences, cultures and languages. You can take first year courses on broad themes in classical literature and in ancient history. In later years there are more advanced courses on topics in Egyptian, Greek and Roman political, military and social history and culture, as well as ancient literature, philosophy and art.
