Whether you want to get ahead in your career faster, or improve your knowledge, a Monash postgraduate degree can give you a distinct advantage. This course provides doctoral training in both advanced clinical psychology and advanced research. Once completed, you will be eligible for full registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, and an area of practice endorsement in Clinical Psychology following completion of 2250 hours of a Board approved registrar program. The Doctor of Philosophy (Clinical Psychology) is a graduate research degree which adheres to a scientist practitioner/ clinical science model of training, with a dual emphasis on clinical research and training for professional practice. It prepares graduates to work as clinical psychologists in both research and clinical contexts. This program is committed to training the next generation of leaders in clinical psychology, by enabling the trainees to conduct research that: a) advances the scientific knowledge of psychiatric disorders, and b) advances understanding of how to deliver evidence-based methods of assessment and clinical intervention for those with mental health problems.Intake Months

Monash also has student associations, which are made up of representatives elected by students and whose role is to liaise with the university to provide services, facilities and amenities around the campus. It gives students the chance to influence campus life and get involved in number of ways, such as writing for the student newspaper, joining a special interest club, and organising events like orientation week. From sports perspective, more than 600 Monash students compete at the Australian University Games every year. The students can also join a sports team to get involved in the social competitions or take classes in aerobics, martial arts, yoga, aquatics and cycling at the university gymnasium.
