This scholarship is for first-time transfer students with a 3.5 GPA (JSU calculated) or higher. Students must maintain a 2.0 at JSU and full-time enrollment (minimum 12 credit hours) for this scholarship to be renewed.

Freshmen will be considered automatically for merit scholarships upon admission to JSU. Merit scholarships cannot stack on one another, this includes the Leadership Scholarship and JSU Honors Scholarship. Out-of-state students receiving a merit-based scholarship or grant will qualify to pay their remaining tuition balance at the in-state rate.
