This scholarship is for first-time transfer students who have a 3.0 – 3.49 GPA (JSU calculated). To be eligible for renewal, recipients must maintain a 2.0 at JSU for this scholarship and full-time enrollment (minimum 12 credit hours).

Freshmen will be considered automatically for merit scholarships upon admission to JSU. Merit scholarships cannot stack on one another, this includes the Leadership Scholarship and JSU Honors Scholarship. Out-of-state students receiving a merit-based scholarship or grant will qualify to pay their remaining tuition balance at the in-state rate.
