This course provides you with a transformative learning experience that responds to the changing needs of society. This pathway will help you gain insight into the area of serious crime and enhance your crime-solving skills. You will undertake a learning experience that covers key areas of the National Policing Curriculum (NPC), and integrates the Policing Education Qualifications Framework (PEQF) and the Chartered Manager standard. You will critically examine the issues of investigating serious crime considering how technological, societal and criminal challenges are creating a new context to police legitimacy and effectiveness. You will be able to use a range of techniques and research methods in order to improve and enhance your professional policing practice. This degree course will enable you to develop the skills and capabilities to lead and manage complex operations, teams and organisations in order to achieve effective and ethical policing outcomes.
You must have successfully completed an United Kingdom Year 12 (or equivalent senior secondary school qualification) Equivalent qualifications may also include a recognised post secondary diploma in the relevant discipline with the required grades. Meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee entry. Your application will still need to be assessed and accepted. If you dont meet the entry requirements, there may be other programs you are eligible for that can lead you to your preferred program.

The University of West London houses an excellent West London Campus with two sites in Ealing and Brentford. These sites are interconnected by a convenient, free, 10-minute shuttle bus service, facilitating easy student access. One of the noticeable features of studying at this campus is its strategic location. It offers a lively local community with beautiful parks within immediate reach and places the hustle and bustle of central London just a few tube stops away.
The university also has the Berkshire Institute for Health at Fountain House, situated in the heart of Reading town centre. Both Ealing and Brentford campuses feature exceptional facilities.
