This qualification will teach you the knowledge and skills required to work in a team that provides education and care for children aged 0-5 years. You will learn how to support children’s development, learning and wellbeing in the early years. You will build quality relationships with children and their families. You will be given the opportunity to develop your skills in a regulated education and care service as well as studying online and attending classes on campus. You will gain a First Aid qualification. You will be required to apply for registration to work with vulnerable people. This is called the Working with Vulnerable People Check (WWVP). Textbooks and a TasTAFE polo shirt for use on work placement will be supplied.
