About the courseThe Bachelor of Commerce with Honours (BCom(Hons)) degree is a postgraduate programme which can be taken by meritorious students. The degree involves intensive study, culminating with the completion of a research dissertation. To be admitted, students must have completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in the subject or subjects of study proposed, with an average grade of at least B for the appropriate 300-level papers. In most cases, specific papers must have been passed as part of or in addition to the major subject requirements in the BCom programme. The Honours programme must be completed in one year of full-time study.Every day we come into contact with marketing. Each time a purchase is made, or a service utilised, the principles of marketing have been involved. Marketing influences your choice of hair salon, washing powder or car, and even the television programmes you watch. Even your Curriculum Vitae is part of a marketing programme to sell yourself to an employer, but marketing management means more than just selling.
