About the course
The Bachelor of Arts-Bachelor of Business gives you the opportunity to specialise in two different study areas - helping you gain skills and knowledge from Bachelor of Business majors and complementing them with the critical analysis and communication strengths you gain studying a Bachelor of Arts. This joint degree, completed full-time over 4 years, will cover a balance of study areas across business and the humanities. Depending on your desired career path and whether you study in Townsville or Cairns, you have a choice majors including Accounting, Economics, Human Resources Management and International Business, to name a few. Some of these majors are available to study online, giving you greater flexibility while you study. From Arts, you can enhance your study with Psychology, Political Science or Indigenous Studies among other majors on offer. Depending on your choices of majors you may be eligible for registration with professional bodies within your chosen fields of study.

James Cook University is a public university in North Queensland, Australia. The second oldest university in Queensland, JCU is a teaching and research institution.
James Cook University is placed in the top 2% of universities in the world and ranks among the top 30 modern universities in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings (50 under 50, 2018). The institution is research led and a pioneer in its focus on the tropics. The campus location is spectacular – surrounded on three sides by rainforest-covered mountains. Located near the northern beaches in the suburb of Smithfield, the campus is 15 kilometres (9 miles) north of the city centre.
