Complete the vocational stage of training for practice at the Bar of England and Wales by undertaking a course which will offer you flexible options to unlock your potential and transform your skills from the classroom to the court room. Designed to replace the BTPC, Bar Vocational Studies (Full-time) allows you to complete the vocational stage of training for the Bar of England and Wales. The course is particularly suitable for students who want to develop their skills as advocates, and those who want to research and apply the law to help clients in presenting legal cases in court. The programme helps you build your skills and acquire knowledge through interaction with professionals and peers. The course follows the standard academic timeline, which fits with pupillage recruitment and allows extended work placements during the summer break.
You must have successfully completed the Bachelor degree (or equivalent overseas qualification) or/with full-time or equivalent, work experience in a relevant industry setting.Meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee entry. Your application will still need to be assessed and accepted. If you dont meet the entry requirements, there may be other programs you are eligible for that can lead you to your preferred program.
