Western Michigan University’s Bronson School of Nursing MSN program is designed specifically for working RNs who want to expand their expertise and knowledge. Graduates of our MSN program become the leaders in promoting healthcare in individuals and communities. At the end of this program, the graduate will be able to Analyze the historical and conceptual patterns that have shaped current health and illness care contexts and systems Integrate advanced concepts of human behavior, cultural competencies and ethical reasoning into the evolving role of nurse leadership for the 21st century Employ methods of inquiry that provide evidence for the practice of nursing and promote the role of the nurse in inquiry and evaluation Use an interdisciplinary approach to promote the health and well-being of selected populations within health care systems and communities Describe how organization and financing of health care services sculpt health care policies Demonstrate competency in teaching or nurse leadership/management with selected populations
You must have successfully completed a United States Bachelors degree (or equivalent overseas qualification) or/with full-time or equivalent work experience in a relevant industry setting. Meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee entry. Your application will still need to be assessed and accepted. If you dont meet the entry requirements, there may be other programs you are eligible for that can lead you to your preferred program.
