The Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences provides students with advanced theoretical and technical education and prepares them to assume roles as laboratory supervisors, educators and researchers. Studies indicate a M.S. in Medical Laboratory Sciences provides an individual with a greater diversity of job opportunities, enhanced potential for job promotion and increased earning power. Several tracks are available: advanced; categorical; accelerated.
Students holding a baccalaureate degree in medical laboratory sciences and generalist certification are eligible for the advanced master’s track. The categorical master’s option is designed for students with a baccalaureate degree in biology or chemistry. The accelerated track integrates undergraduate and graduate coursework and leads to the awarding of both B.S. and M.S. degrees simultaneously.
You must have successfully completed the Bachelor degree (or equivalent overseas qualification) or/with full-time or equivalent, work experience in a relevant industry setting.Meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee entry. Your application will still need to be assessed and accepted. If you dont meet the entry requirements, there may be other programs you are eligible for that can lead you to your preferred program.
