CSULB’s Computer Engineering and Computer Science programs deliver the solid theoretical foundation and practical basics to prepare you for a successful career in computing, whether you’re interested in computing careers in healthcare, entertainment, aerospace, automotive, supply management, engineering, data analytics, or many other fields and industries. The M.S. in Computer Science provides advanced study in software development and engineering, networking, operating systems, distributed computing, artificial intelligence, and analysis of algorithms. Students can pursue concentrations in Advanced Systems or Software Development. The mission of the graduate program in Computer engineering and Computer Science at CSULB is to provide a high-quality educational experience and the technical specialization required to become successful leaders in industry. The program also prepares the students to pursue advanced degrees if they so desire. The graduate program involves advanced courses in analysis and design in computer software and hardware. The students may choose to do a thesis or take a comprehensive examination as the culmination of their program.
