Students may pursue the Masters degree under either Plan A or Plan B. Plan A requires the completion of 20 credits of acceptable graduate-level coursework and 10 credits of thesis. Under Plan B, a 4-credit project and 26 credits of acceptable graduate-level coursework must be completed. Masters candidates must take an oral comprehensive exam near the completion of their graduate program. Plan A (thesis option) Masters degree students gain research experience through their thesis and are expected to submit the results of their thesis work to at least one journal or conference. Plan B (project option) Masters degree students gain some research experience in the context of their project. The Cell Biology and Neuroscience offers exciting opportunities to work with nationally and internationally recognized faculty on a wide range of research topics, including cognitive neuroscience, neurophysiology, neuroinformatics, developmental biology, cell biology, biophysics and computational neuroscience.
You must have successfully completed an United States Bachelor degree (or equivalent overseas qualification) or/with full-time or equivalent, work experience in a relevant industry setting.Meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee entry. Your application will still need to be assessed and accepted.If you dont meet the entry requirements, there may be other programs you are eligible for that can lead you to your preferred program.
