The Engineering in Computing in Construction program explores how data is used in the construction industry. It looks at the different types of data generated and used throughout the construction process, including building models, city layouts, and detailed measurements. How different types of data work together across models and datasets; and
Interoperability of systems or examining how different computer systems can operate together smoothly. This includes figuring out how the shared data from various programs could automate the workflow.
It’s important to note that this program doesn’t teach you how to use specific tools for building models or BIM-based design. Instead, it focuses on the bigger picture of how data shapes the construction industry and how computers can help make things run more efficiently.
