About the courseThis course responds to the need for a new generation of circus directors who are%0Aaware of the possibilities and limitations of using circus techniques in an artistic%0Acontext. As well as studying a range of research methodologies the course covers%0Athe roles, strategies and practical skills of circus directing in two areas â€“ the director%0Aas author and the director as facilitator. Over the duration of the course, you explore%0Athe direction of circus performance for a wide variety of audiences in varying%0Acontexts. This might include sharing your work with specialist educators, student%0Apeers, studying other subject areas, and working with youth circus groups.

Locksbrook Campus is in a central location in the city, and is virtually next door to Bath Spa student accommodation on the Lower Bristol Road, reached via a pedestrian bridge across the River. The riverside cycle path connecting our Newton Park campus to Bath’s railway and bus stations also borders the site, making it easily accessible from further afield.
