The LLM Human Rights is based on the significant expertise of academic staff in Nottingham Law School, particularly from its Centre for Rights and Justice. The course will help you develop a strong analytical understanding of the key legal issues in the area, with a particular focus on European and international human rights and key aspects of international justice systems. LLM Human Rights permits specialisation within the field, whether in the study of more traditional human rights systems or in the expression of the rights of particular groups. There exists a particular emphasis on the resolution of post-conflict human rights and criminal matters.

Our City Campus is typical of Nottingham itself. It’s a place that’s big enough to inspire and compact enough to provide a sense of community; one where our best and proudest traditions sit shoulder to shoulder with new theories, new practice and new possibilities. It’s the same mix of heritage and innovation that sums up the city we love. Our City Campus has it all. Six of our academic schools are based here, as well as an innovative public art gallery, open-working office space for local businesses and an incredible legal advice clinic. Our Newton building is a key feature in the city’s skyline, and from there you can walk to both the Market Square and the Victoria Centre, Nottingham’s main shopping hub, in less than five minutes.
