The Graduate Certificate in Social Service and Attendance requires 12 hours of course credit. The certificate is intended for educators who hold a valid professional license or for social workers who hold at least a bachelor’s degree. The certificate provides the required coursework for Social Service and Attendance licensure in West Virginia. The Social Service certification in Attendance program is designed for education personnel who hold a valid license, or for social workers who hold at least a bachelor’s degree. Students complete a 12 hour program that includes many field-based experiences. In addition to the coursework requirements, students who do not hold a professional teaching certificate or master’s degree are required to pass the PRAXIS Core Academic Skills for Educators Test for licensure.
You must have successfully completed an United States Bachelor degree (or equivalent overseas qualification) or/with full-time or equivalent, work experience in a relevant industry setting.Meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee entry. Your application will still need to be assessed and accepted.If you dont meet the entry requirements, there may be other programs you are eligible for that can lead you to your preferred program.
