This course is designed for high-calibre international students who have not studied the pre-requisite subjects needed for first year entry or those that have successfully completed 12 years of school education, and need an extra year of study. Special emphasis is placed on subject-specific tuition to prepare students for their chosen degree course, as well as developing the study skills needed for success in an independent learning environment. Electronic and Electrical Engineering with an International Foundation Year enables entry on to any of the Electrical, Systems and Robotics engineering courses offered by Loughborough University. Our foundation course is taught in-house by University staff. As a student on the course you will be a full member the University, with the same access to the Students’ Union, clubs, societies, sports facilities and support departments. As a student on the International Foundation Programme you will receive high quality teaching from renowned Loughborough University academics, and be supported throughout your studies by an academic tutor. During the year you will undertake core modules in English, Applicable Mathematics, Physics and Programming with Electronics. You will be taught through a combination of lectures, seminars, workshops and tutorials. Loughborough international foundation programme is very competitive and is aimed at academically able international students.
