The Doctor of Dental Surgery is a four-year program that provides admitted students with the skills necessary to be eligible for licensure as a general dentist at graduation. The curriculum encompasses a broad understanding of the biomedical sciences, behavioral sciences and clinical sciences. Specifically the program educates health care professionals who value oral and general health promotion and possess the knowledge and skills to diagnosis, manage, and prevent diseases, abnormalities and other conditions affecting the oral and perioral tissues.
