Students with Year 12, GCE ‘A’ Level or its equivalent but do not meet direct entry to a degree program are eligible to pursue this qualification.Students in this course will be given a tailored program within the allocated study period to acquire the necessary skills needed to progress to an undergraduate degree program or for applicants who wish to trial the Psychology undergraduate curriculum before committing to the Bachelor course.Students enrolled in this major will complete two core subjects of the Diploma of Higher Education, along with six subjects contributing to the first year of the James Cook University and the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited Bachelor of Psychological Science.The Diploma of Higher Education (Majoring in Psychological Science) will also provide an exit point for early graduates who wish to undertake advanced skills or paraprofessional work in the industry.Upon completion, students may be given advanced standing/exemptions of 8 subjects into the Bachelor of Psychological Science program.Students are required to complete 8 subjects (24 credit points) as per following:Developing Academic SkillsLearning in a Digital EnvironmentExploring Psychology: From Brain To PracticeExploring Psychology: From Perception To RealityCritical Thinking In Psychology: How To Think About Weird ThingsCommunicating Psychology: Listening, Translating & DisseminatingIntroduction To CounsellingMulticultural, Child and Adolescent Counselling

Founded in April 2003, JCU Singapore awards degrees and certification on behalf of JCU Australia. This university was established as an international campus of the JCU Australia, and it completely follows the academic curriculum of its parent university. The university has an Inter-Campus Mobility Programme, which allows students studying on the Singapore campus to pay the tuition fee in their domestic currency. This university has earned one of the highest levels of quality assurance in the country called The Edutrust Star. In addition to this, it is the first organization to receive this award. JCU Singapore has also received the honorable SQC STAR.
In the year 2018, the student enrolment of the university comprised 85% undergraduates and 15% of graduates. The student demographics had 37% of international students coming from different parts across the world. In addition to this, 97% of the students secured lucrative employment offers in less than a period of 6 months. In the same year, 57% of the students graduate from the psychology major offered by this university.
