Explore the origin, nature, distribution, movement, exploitation and conservation of surface and subsurface waters, as well as the problems associated with the development of water resources in Wisconsin and the U.S., with a water resources certificate from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Administered by the geology department, the water resources certificate is intended for students who plan to enroll in a master’s degree program in water resource management, students interested in careers in environmental policy or environmental law, or any STEM or geography majors interested in broadening their understanding of water-related topics. A portion of the water resources certificate is made up of courses chosen by you, allowing you to focus on the aspects of water resources that are most relevant to your chosen career path. Study topics like hydrogeology, wastewater, climatology, ecology, environmental ethics, global environmental change or whatever else interests you.
