The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claires dance certificate aims to cultivate agile, fluid bodies and minds in the movement arts. It is an open admission program, meaning all dance courses are open to all students and anyone can explore dance. Curriculum throughout the program includes physical practice, theoretical inquiry, creative activity and interdisciplinary studies in music, theatre and kinesiology. Flexible certificate requirements allow you to study the topics and dance styles that most interest you, from ballet to modern dance to jazz to tap. And thanks to the universitys partnership with the state-of-the-art Pablo Center at the Confluence in downtown Eau Claire, dancers have the unique opportunity to perform in a new, professional space. The program focuses heavily on studio dance experiences that will prepare graduates for a variety of careers in dance and performing arts. Whether your hope is to be a professional choreographer, performer or teacher, perform on a cruise ship, start up your own studio or just perfect your craft, our expert faculty are here to support you and help get you to where you want to go.
