The certificate is a beneficial credential to demonstrate your investment in and knowledge of Chinese and is an excellent complement to a wide variety of majors and minors. Throughout the program, youll be immersed in the language and culture of China. Courses include study in basic grammar and vocabulary, with practical application to all language skills, including listening, speaking, translating, reading, writing and Chinese calligraphy. Upon completion of the program, students are expected to reach novice-high or intermediate-low proficiency in Chinese.
