Midwifery is a rewarding, dynamic and highly skilled profession. This course will equip you with the knowledge, skills and attributes to provide woman-focused and family centered, safe and effective care. It will also enable you to work alongside interdisciplinary teams within maternity services as a Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registered midwife. Students will commence this programme in September 2025. As a Queens University student you will be appointed a personal tutor whose role is to support you in your educational journey. Our personal tutor programme is very well regarded, and we were awarded the Best Student Experience award in the 2021 Student Nursing Times Awards. As well as learning in class, you will have the opportunity to learn in our state-of-the-art clinical skills and simulation suite (the KN Cheung SK Chin InterSim Centre). This helps prepare you and compliment your learning in the practice-based learning environments, which take place in a range of clinical settings including hospital and community and accounts for 50% of your education.
You must have successfully completed an United Kingdom Year 12 (or equivalent senior secondary school qualification) Equivalent qualifications may also include a recognised post secondary diploma in the relevant discipline with the required grades.Meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee entry. Your application will still need to be assessed and accepted.If you dont meet the entry requirements, there may be other programs you are eligible for that can lead you to your preferred program.
