Talk to a counsellorPhysiology is the study of how organisms work - in this case, humans – and with us, you will study human function from the molecular and cellular level through organs to the whole body. It’s a subject that underpins medical Science and as part of this degree, you will consider aspects of pathophysiology, exploring what happens when things go wrong and some of the strategies that are used to treat dysfunction. The Department of Life Sciences has a strong research ethos in many aspects of human physiology and you will benefit from this as you enter your final Year and undertake your research project, working alongside leading human physiology researchers. Study human physiology with us and youll emerge as an independent thinker who can apply critical analysis and problem-solving skills to real-world problems. Your knowledge and skills will prepare you for employment in a range of settings, including biological, health and pharmaceutical industries, as well as a range of postgraduate study options, eg masters and PhD programmes.
You must have successfully completed an United Kingdom Year 12 (or equivalent senior secondary school qualification) . Equivalent qualifications may also include a recognised post- secondary diploma in the relevant discipline with the required grades. Meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee entry. Your application will still need to be assessed and accepted. If you don't meet the entry requirements, there may be other programs you are eligible for that can lead you to your preferred program.
