Mechanical Engineering courses are highly practical and use real examples and projects from industry. On this course you’ll be guided how to analyse and solve mechanical engineering problems by producing your own creative and innovative solutions using the latest technology. You’ll get the perfect blend of learning, in and outside of the classroom. We’ll refine your creative problem solving skills through exploring the latest digital technologies and providing hands-on skills, as well as building your confidence and experience through live projects and our annual industry Grand Challenge. As well as the support you’ll get from expert staff and technicians, there’s the chance to set your own direction with a range of optional modules, online resources and projects. Recently students have worked on reverse engineering everyday objects, designing and building a Mars lander, and using industry standard software packages to design and build a model bridge.
