Masseys Bachelor of Speech and Language Therapy with Honours will set you up for a rewarding career working alongside people of all ages with speech, communication and swallowing difficulties. As a speech-language therapist you’ll facilitate independence in individuals. You’ll assess people with a variety of communication disorders, and work with them to improve their ability to participate in school, work or other daily activities. Whether you’re working with children who have speech or language disorders, or adults living with a traumatic brain injury or stroke, you’ll have an impact on people’s quality of life. Massey’s Bachelor of Speech and Language Therapy with Honours combines academic coursework with supervised clinical experience. You’ll work alongside practising speech-language therapists to gain clinical hours in a wide range of settings such as schools, rehabilitation centres, child development services and community settings across New Zealand.

Since 1993 the Auckland campus in Albany has grown rapidly in a fast developing part of Aucklands North Shore City. Science and Business are the two largest colleges on the campus with the College of Science housing the New Zealand Institute for Advanced Study solely on the campus. Around 7,000 students are enrolled at Albany. This campus has grown since then and an on-campus accommodation facility opened in semester one 2015.
