The BSc (Hons) in Sociology course is for those wishing to study and develop methodological expertise in order to analyse social data and engage with social policy debates. BSc (Hons) in Sociology examines the organisation of contemporary societies and explores the opportunities and structural inequalities that define our everyday lives. You will have the opportunity to study topics such as the following: Social class and social mobility, Race and ethnicity, Gender, Culture, Identity, Inequality and intersectionality, Migration, Media, Crime and criminology. You will have the opportunity to appreciate the complex interplay between local and global forces, with particular reference to life in the 21st century metropolis, which - in our case - is London. This course will develop your critical thinking and skills in the analysis, interpretation and production of social data.
You must have successfully completed the Year 12 (or equivalent senior secondary school qualification) Equivalent qualifications may also include a recognised post secondary diploma in the relevant discipline with the required grades.Meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee entry. Your application will still need to be assessed and accepted.If you dont meet the entry requirements, there may be other programs you are eligible for that can lead you to your preferred program.
