The bioinformatics program prepares students for laboratory employment as well as admission into graduate and health sciences professional programs. This interdisciplinary field uses a computational approach to explore molecular biology and genetics. Our curriculum includes a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, computer science and statistics paired with focused training in bioinformatics problem solving. Students choose a concentration based on their interests in genomics/biology, computational science or quantitative/statistical bioinformatics. Our unique hands-on curriculum prepares students with a 21st-century approach to science and research.
You must have successfully completed the Year 12 (or equivalent senior secondary school qualification) Equivalent qualifications may also include a recognised post secondary diploma in the relevant discipline with the required grades.Meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee entry.
