Chemical engineering has a major impact on daily life, from the production of the cereal we eat in the morning to the toothpaste we use at night, as well as helping supply the fuel for our cars and furnaces and the electricity we use for lighting, Graduates of Western Michigan Universitys chemical engineering program also have the added benefit of the Universitys program being accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET Inc. in Maryland. Beyond the classroom As a chemical engineering student at WMU, you will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on projects with local industry, qualify for our departmental scholarships, and become a member of the Sunseeker solar racing team. WMUs College of Engineering and Applied Sciences also has more than 25 student organizations open to you, including the Chemical Engineering Club and Society of Women Engineers.
You must have successfully completed a United States Year 12 (or equivalent senior secondary school qualification) Equivalent qualifications may also include a recognized post-secondary diploma in the relevant discipline with the required grades. Meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee entry. Your application will still need to be assessed and accepted. If you dont meet the entry requirements, there may be other programs you are eligible for that can lead you to your preferred program.
