Herons photography program approaches image making as a fused, hybrid practice of analog and digital image production and associated media. Exploring the full spectrum of photography as a fine art, you will pair film and historical processes with new technologies as well as still and moving images. You will be challenged to define and reexamine the photographer’s role in contemporary art and society. Your professors will not only encourage your personal growth and artistic voice, but also help develop your technical proficiency and conceptual and aesthetic development. During senior year, you will immerse yourself in an internship to gain experience in a chosen area or focus while engaging with the Indianapolis metropolitan area. Finally, you will emerge with the skills and confidence to thrive as a professional fine art or commercial photographer.
You must have successfully completed an United States Year 12 (or equivalent senior secondary school qualification) Equivalent qualifications may also include a recognised post secondary diploma in the relevant discipline with the required grades.Meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee entry. Your application will still need to be assessed and accepted. If you dont meet the entry requirements, there may be other programs you are eligible for that can lead you to your preferred program.
