Start becoming an engineer from day one of your studies at Massey. You’ll learn the skills to make you a sought-after employee in New Zealand and internationally. Whether you choose your major at the start or the end of your first year, there are no limits on the places available. There’s no chance of missing out - you can study what you’re passionate about. Every year you work on projects that can help both our communities and industry, giving you a real feel of what engineering involves, and the skills that distinguish you from the rest. We teach and assess subjects in small blocks so that you know how you’re doing throughout a semester. There are modular tests but no final ‘big’ exams. Our practical learning environment, combined with having more work experience than other New Zealand engineering qualification will see you develop the skills that employers are looking for. The BE (Hons) programme has been accredited by Engineering NZ as a professional engineering degree under the Washington Accord. This is an international agreement between bodies responsible for accrediting engineering degree programmes.

Since 1993 the Auckland campus in Albany has grown rapidly in a fast developing part of Aucklands North Shore City. Science and Business are the two largest colleges on the campus with the College of Science housing the New Zealand Institute for Advanced Study solely on the campus. Around 7,000 students are enrolled at Albany. This campus has grown since then and an on-campus accommodation facility opened in semester one 2015.
