A bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship at Marshall University provides a well-rounded focus in business disciplines such as management, finance, accounting and economics. Our Entrepreneurship program is one of just a few accredited programs in West Virginia and the region.

Marshall’s Lewis College of Business is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International or AACSB. The AACSB is a global nonprofit association that connects educators and students to business to create the leaders. Since 1916, the AACSB has provided quality assurance with business schools throughout the country.

Students who graduate from Marshall University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Entrepreneurship will develop skills in critical thinking, oral and written communication, and problem solving. In addition, the Entrepreneurship degree program is structured to optionally allow double-major aspirants to concurrently satisfy dual-degree programs.

Marshall’s Entrepreneurship students also benefit by learning techniques and methodologies that provide a competitive edge in the innovation and business model competitions hosted by our Center for Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation.

During spring 2019, our Entrepreneurship students competed in the inaugural West Virginia Innovation and Business Model Competition, with the two Marshall teams finishing first and second in the state finals event. They out-placed competitors from West Virginia University, University of Charleston, Concord University, Glenville State College and West Virginia Wesleyan College, and earned $5,000 (first place)and $3,000 (second place) prize awards as well as a trip to Silicon Valley. In addition, the first-place team advanced to the International Business Model Competition in Provo, Utah, and earned an additional $2,500 in prize money.
