Campus Location 

SAIT has four campuses, including its main campus and three satellite campuses, all located in Calgary, Alberta.

SAIT's main campus is situated in a beautiful location that offers stunning views of the city and the nearby mountains. It is located on 16 Avenue NW in Calgary and is easily accessible by the CTrain light rail system. The campus is a smoke-free environment, in line with SAIT's commitment to promoting overall well-being and a healthy lifestyle.

Apart from the main campus, SAIT has three satellite campuses located in different parts of the city. These include the Art Smith Aero Centre, Point Trotter Campus, and The Tastemarket. These campuses offer specialised programs and courses in areas such as aviation, culinary arts, and hospitality management.

For individuals who want to enhance their skills or pursue further professional development, SAIT provides a wide range of courses for continuing education. SAIT offers over a thousand courses to support lifelong learning and career advancement.

SAIT's programs span across eight academic schools, including Business, Engineering and Technology, Health Sciences, Hospitality and Tourism, Applied Arts and Communications, Trades and Apprenticeship, Energy and Environment, and Preparatory and Upgrading Programs.

In the business and management category, SAIT offers programs in business administration, marketing, finance, accounting, entrepreneurship, project management, and leadership. In the engineering and technology category, SAIT provides courses and programs in various engineering and technology fields, such as civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, information technology, software development, network administration, and telecommunications.

SAIT also offers programs and courses in the health sciences field, including nursing, medical laboratory technology, pharmacy technician, dental assisting, health care aide, paramedicine, and medical imaging technology. In the hospitality and tourism industry, SAIT provides courses and programs in culinary arts, hospitality management, travel and tourism, event management, hotel and restaurant management, and tourism marketing.

For students interested in applied arts and communications, SAIT offers programs in graphic design, journalism, broadcasting, photography, interior design, animation, and film and video production. SAIT is also known for its apprenticeship training programs, which provide hands-on training in various trades such as plumbing, carpentry, welding, automotive service technology, heavy equipment technician, and culinary apprenticeships.

Diversity and Inclusion 

Equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) are crucial for a healthy campus environment where every student, staff, and faculty member feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed. SAIT understands the significance of EDI and has taken significant steps to make it an integral part of its vision and mission.

SAIT leaders who completed in-house EDI micro-learning reported feeling more confident about being inclusive leaders. The program has shown a 76% success rate in developing inclusive leadership skills.

SAIT has launched EMBRACE, a new employee resource group focused on empowering women in the workplace. The institution has also launched a new course, PERS 143: Queer Inclusion and Belonging at SAIT, to provide a more inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ students.

SAIT has updated one policy and procedure using the Equity Framework, which aims to eliminate systemic barriers and promote a more equitable environment. SAIT has also offered two student leadership positions to promote EDI and enhance the campus's inclusivity.

In addition to the above initiatives, SAIT is working towards developing a strategic enrolment management plan to enrol more students from equity-deserving groups. SAIT is also developing an employee recruitment plan to attract more diverse talent to work at SAIT

Campus facilities 

Campus Security is available to provide trained, uniformed patrols and radio dispatched call response, CCTV monitoring, access control, first aid and medical assistance, alarm response, emergency response, crime prevention and detection, incident and complaint investigation, safety escorts, wayfinding services, and lost and found services. Additionally, SAITSA's volunteer organisation, SAFEWALK, provides students with escorts both on and off campus.

Health, Safety and Environment Services supports safe, secure, and environmentally sound working and learning environments at SAIT. They assist the SAIT community in preventing work-related injuries and illness and investigate all occupational health, safety, and environmental concerns brought to their attention. In case of injuries or illnesses on campus, SAIT provides emergency care, urgent care, first aid, and walk-in clinics.

SAIT's Facilities Management department serves as a steward of its building and grounds, ensuring physical operations are maintained and spaces are safe, secure, functional, and inviting for all who use them.
