This degree completion program is offered with classes taking place on the Rowan University Camden Campus. It is intended for those who have completed their Associates degree and wish to pursue the Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. The Rowan University B.A. in Sociology seeks to develop competency in the analysis and understanding of the effects social factors have across all levels of society. Students may choose to pursue the General Sociology program or the Applied Sociology concentration. The General Program allows students flexibility in choosing which lower and upper level electives will be part of their program. The Applied Sociology concentration focuses specifically on the analysis and treatment of social problems, the assessment of community based needs and practices, and the development and evaluation of strategies for positive social change. It provides a sound foundation for pursuing careers in human and community service industries.
