Talk to a counsellorThis course combines Philosophy and Sociology. You will be able to choose from a selection of modules from both of these courses to create a programme that is tailor made for you. On our Philosophy course you’ll tackle some of the most exciting and fundamental questions about human nature and our place in the world. You wont just learn ‘about’ philosophy, well encourage you to become a philosopher in your own right. We teach philosophy from a western, analytical perspective. But we also offer modules in eastern philosophy and issues around continental philosophy. We offer modules exploring the work of: Plato and Aristotle, the Hellenistic Philosophers, Medieval Philosophy, Descartes, Hume and Kant.
You must have successfully completed an United Kingdom Year 12 (or equivalent senior secondary school qualification) Equivalent qualifications may also include a recognised post secondary diploma in the relevant discipline with the required grades.Meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee entry. Your application will still need to be assessed and accepted.If you dont meet the entry requirements, there may be other programs you are eligible for that can lead you to your preferred program.
