Key skills and knowledge gained during the Year give you an excellent grounding and a wide exposure to a range of subjects within our triple accredited business school. This course is designed to prepare you for studying our international tourism management degree. Working with organisations like The Institute of Travel and Tourism, Visit Manchester and TUI we’ve designed our international tourism management degree to give you the skills the tourism industry is looking for. We’ve made sure everything you learn is directly relevant to your future career. That’s why you’ll find distinctive units like Crisis and Risk Management, which explore subjects relevant to the industry right now, during the global pandemic. There are other themes you’ll focus on throughout your degree course – management, destinations, tourists, and skills. On top of these you can study specialist areas like digital marketing or learn a new language, including Spanish, Modern Arabic, or Japanese. Most of your units are designed and delivered by our Department of Marketing, Retail and Tourism. That means everything you study will be relevant to your career goals and taught by experienced tourism specialists.
