The Industrial Design and Technology degree specialises in the development of skills and ability in the design and communication of ideas, interactions and user experiences, with a focus on three-dimensional design, product styling and form, user research, materials, manufacturing processes and the production of prototypes and finished artifacts. This will involve you concentrating on the creative form and aesthetics of contemporary and future manufactured products. Our BA (Hons) Industrial Design and Technology course emphasises the ways that products are experienced by users. Throughout the course you will be expected to apply your understanding of branding, futures concepting and the circular economy to the design of future product-service systems.
