The Associate in Arts in Studio Arts for Transfer Degree provides students with a strong foundation in the terminology and principles of the visual arts, two-and three-dimensional design, and an introduction to various techniques and media. Topics also explored include the relationship between form and content, historical and contemporary approaches to art and art making, and personal expression. Students who successfully complete the AA-T in Studio Arts earn specific guarantees for transfer to the CSU system: admission to a CSU with junior status and priority admission to a CSU campus and to a program or major in studio arts or a similar major. Students transferring to a CSU campus will be required to complete no more than 60 units after transfer to earn a bachelor’s degree.
