About the courseBSc (Hons) Physical Activity, Health & Wellbeing has been designed to provide an intellectually stimulating and vocationally relevant programme for students interested in health as it relates to physical activity, nutrition and overall wellbeing. Increasingly, research supports that improving physical activity levels and good nutrition are key to maintaining good mental wellbeing. This course will produce graduates that can serve local communities by providing holistic, person centred advice to individuals, particularly around poor food choice and sedentary behaviours which address important determinants of physical and mental health and health inequalities.The curriculum emphasises the development of skills and knowledge that will help further academic and vocational training and subsequent employment. Students will extend their knowledge and skills in a range of activities through integrated practical experiences. A double Research Project, Consultancy Project or Entrepreneurship and Enterprise in Sport, Health and Wellbeing in the final year allows students to integrate their knowledge and skills in an area of specific interest.
